Part Three History	Part Four Personality and Appearence
HISTORY: Regulus was the pride and joy of his parents. After Sirius, of course. Regulus was always playing second fiddle to his brother. Despite that, Regulus looked up to him. Even with his personality flaws, Regulus loved his brother. Sirius was his favorite person in the world. That is until Sirius started to change. He made friends with that Potter boy and got sorted into Gryffindor and before he knew it, he wasn't Regulus' brother anymore and that hurt Regulus more than he was ever willing to admit. After Sirius (and Andromeda too, which also devastated him) left the family, Regulus became the boy who could do no wrong. He was spoiled and treated like he was the only hope for his parents, which was essentially true. This caused him to be mildly bitter, knowing that he would have felt better about it all if Sirius had been around. However, he couldn't voice his thoughts, nor could he confide in anyone anymore. Regulus became rather reclusive and quiet in the time after Sirius was disowned, forming him into someone completely different. Regulus made friends at Hogwarts and all that, but he was never really happy there. Even when he spoke to his cousins, who he loved, he was never satisfied with how his life turned out to be. He felt bitter when he saw Sirius laughing and talking to his friends, when all Regulus' friends would do was bitch about muggleborns and the filth in the schools. He felt lost in what he should do, but his loyalty to his family kept him from going to where Sirius had gone. The other part was fear, where he knew he couldn't leave them because he was afraid of the consequences and living on his own. He fell into place with his family by becoming a Death Eater at sixteen, far younger than anyone else he'd ever known, but he wanted a purpose, and he thought this could give it to him. He was absolutely wrong. It caused him to feel more lost, knowing that he'd made the wrong choice with his life. However, it did give him one thing - resolve. He wanted to do something with a purpose. The more he got into the Death Eaters, the more he realized it was the wrong choice for him and that Voldemort needed to be stopped, so he hatched a plan all on his own that he would destroy the Dark Lord's horcruxes and do away with him, earning at least his brother's appreciation. He only told his faithful house elf, Kreacher, about his plan when he got ahold of the locket. Regulus knew his death was imminent, but hoped someday that Sirius would know what he did. Kreacher, however, had other plans for Regulus. As his master began to succumb to the poison, the house elf whisked him out of the cave, despite his master's orders. Regulus, despite overcoming the poison once he was out of the clutches of the Inferi, was at a loss for what to do. He hadn't expected to survive and have to face his family. So he developed a plan so that it would seem as though he had died. Using the knowledge he had of the Dark Arts, Regulus manipulated Kreacher's mind, making the elf believe that he had been unable and unwilling to save Regulus in the cave, as those had been his instructions. If anybody were to get Kreacher to be totally honest with them, they would only get what he thought to be the truth. Regulus packed quickly, taking only what wouldn't be missed by his family and left the country. He arrived in Italy, having very little of the family fortune in his pocket, and decided to make his way on his own. Regulus has spent the years of his life working and making a living, rather than being handed his inheritance. He went by the name Nico Di Conti, working for a bookstore, then taking a job at the Italian wizarding school as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He had planned to stay there for the rest of his life until he heard that the Dark Lord had taken over England. Dismayed by this news, Regulus has recently returned there, though without a plan in mind.	APPEARANCE: Regulus is a relatively skinny man, made much skinnier in the past year or so since the Dark Lord took over England. He has black hair and dark eyes. He doesn't smile often, if at all, so he's often regarded as being a snob and cold, even evil. Sometimes, though, Regulus' face can give away his vulnerability. He tries to hide it, making it look like he's sneering, but he isn't trying to do so. Regulus wears robes that aren't nearly as ornate as some of those in his family. He was never fond of jewels or patterns, just simple and black would do for him. He'd even picked up on Sirius' muggle clothes trend, but he wouldn't dare wear that around his mother. PERSONALITY: Regulus is insecure, impressionable and a good guy at heart. Regulus, above all else wants to be accepted by the people around him, which often causes a good deal of confusion, since the people around him have opposite viewpoints. His need for acceptance often gets him into trouble with people, since he is occasionally hypocritical, trying to take the middle ground but ending up faking both viewpoints at separate times during the day. However, despite the convictions that he eventually followed, Regulus' caring nature for people got the better of him. However, he is overly cautious and sometimes even paranoid, this all coming from his last years as a Death Eater. He was desperately afraid of his plan coming out and getting ruined, so he built up his defenses, saying it was all due to the stress of being a Death Eater and more people getting imprisoned. Regulus, however, is the only one who knows what it's really from.
